Kathryn Murphy, A Minnesota-based family law attorney.

Kathryn Murphy has been engaged exclusively in the practice of family law since first being licensed in the State of Minnesota in October of 2003. She graduated from the College of St. Catherine in May of 1999 with a major in Psychology and minors in Biology and Women’s Studies prior to earning her law degree from William Mitchell College of Law in June of 2003.

While a student at William Mitchell College of Law, Ms. Murphy was able to combine her undergraduate psychology background and legal practice through collaboration with University of Minnesota psychiatry resident physicians. During this time, she also dedicated her time to the William Mitchell Law and Psychiatry Clinic.

Her education and experience provide a strong knowledge base to understand the complexities that may arise in family law matters including domestic abuse, chemical dependency, mental illness and children with special needs, and others

A Minnesota Qualified Neutral

Ms. Murphy is also a Qualified Neutral pursuant to Rule 114 of the Minnesota General Rules of Practice, and is trained in the fundamentals of custody evaluation and Early Neutral Evaluation (SENE/FENE) in Minnesota.

Kathryn Murphy, ESQ

Ms. Murphy is well versed in the financial aspects of divorce and paternity including the establishment and modification of child support obligations, property division, division of retirement assets, and the analyses involved in spousal maintenance awards. Her litigation career includes obtaining a reversal of the reduction of a spousal maintenance award through a successful appeal to the Minnesota Court of Appeals on behalf of one of her clients.

As a child of divorce herself, Ms. Murphy balances assertive advocacy with a good faith approach to tailor to the best interests of her clients and their families in any situation.

Tiffani Richardson, Paralegal

Tiffani Richardson has been engaged as a family law paralegal since 2015. With a paralegal certificate from an ABA approved program, Tiffani brings a multidisciplinary career background in service to family law clients.

Prominent career highlights for Tiffani include health care and youth outreach associated with her faith. Tiffani is committed to serving you holistically with everything from the organization of family financials to understanding your communication needs when coping with the day to day challenges of co-parenting.

As a re-married mom raising a blended family, Tiffani offers true empathy for individuals experiencing all stages of the family law process.
